Frequently asked questions

Which error-correction level should I pick?

Higher levels stay scannable when partly covered or poorly printed. M is fine on screen; use Q or H for print or when placing a logo on top.

Are the images I read uploaded anywhere?

No. Both image decoding and camera scanning run in your browser, so nothing is sent to a server.

The camera will not start.

Cameras are only available over HTTPS and need browser permission. If you denied it, re-allow the camera from the lock icon in the address bar.
